Plan Submittal:

  • Submittal Deadline – the last Monday of the month preceding the intended Planning Commission meeting
    (Planning Commission meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.)

As of February 2017 our office will be implementing a new procedure for Land Development and Subdivision Plan Submittals.  At the time of the initial submittal, our staff will perform a short defined review of your proposed plans using an administratively complete checklist. If any of the applicable items on the checklist are not completed, the proposed plans will not be accepted by our office.  The purpose of this procedure is to streamline the land development/subdivision process within Summit Township and to eliminate as much confusion and guesswork on behalf of the developer(s) as possible.  We will be implementing this process for plans received, starting February 27th, 2017. We hope you find this process helpful and we look forward to working with you.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.

 

Staff Review:

  • The Staff of the Land Development and Zoning Office will review the plans and supporting documents that have been submitted to assure that they contain accurate information and meet the standards of all Summit Township Ordinances

 

Planning Commission Meeting:

  • Planning Commission meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
    (Submittal Deadline – the last Monday of the month preceding the meeting)

    • After the Planning Commission has made their recommendation and signed the plans, the developer/owner/representative must sign a transmittal sheet to receive the plans and then must transport those plans to the Erie County Department of Planning for their review

 

Erie County Department of Planning Review:

  • The plans must be submitted to the Subdivision Planner at the Erie County Department of Planning for their review
    • The plans must then be transported back to Summit Township for the final step in the planning process, the Supervisors Meeting

 

Supervisors Meeting:

Agenda Deadline – Thursday prior to meeting
(Supervisor’s meetings are held the 1st Monday of each month at 6:00 PM & the 3rd Monday of each month at 4:30 PM)

  • Plans must have completed all applicable sections and inculde all applicable items on the Final Plan Approval Checklist:

 

For Minor Subdivisions and Replots:

The following Fee Schedule has also been adopted by the Board of Supervisors (12/04/00)
