The Board of Supervisors will consider the adoption of the proposed revised Zoning Ordinance and Zoning District Map at a public hearing at the Summit Township Municipal Building located at 1230 Townhall Road West, Erie, PA  16509.  A hearing took place on March 1, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. and the Board of Supervisors voted to table the revised Ordinance and Map.  The next hearing took place on March 15, 2021 at 6:00p.m.  The Board of Supervisors voted to postpone and it will be discussed at the meeting on May 5, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

We have created a map where you can view the existing Zoning Map and compare it to the Future Land Use Map.  To see how/if your property will be affected by any of the proposed changes, type your address into the search function in the top left.  You will then find a slider that will enable you to switch from the current zoning to future land use.  In addition, you can view the current and proposed permitted use tables for each zoning district by clicking on the link located below the map.  You can access this map by clicking the “Future Land Use Map” post under “Latest News”.

A physical copy of the proposed Zoning Ordinance and the proposed Zoning District Map are available for public review during regular business hours at the Summit Township Municipal building at the above address.

If you have any questions or concerns, comments must be submitted in writing prior to the hearing and can be sent to: Summit Township, Attn:  Zoning Department, 1230 Townhall Road West, Suite 100, Erie, PA 16509 or emailed to tcass@summitpa.us
