The Summit Township Planning Commission is an advisory board responsible for reviewing Subdivision and Land Development Plans prior to submission to the Board of Supervisors as well as ruling on the approval/denial of Alternate Greenspace Plans. The Zoning Hearing Board meets every fourth Tuesday of the month on an as needed basis. Call (814) 868-9686 to confirm if a meeting will take place.

The Zoning Hearing Board is a local court for zoning matters. The purpose of the Zoning Hearing Board is to hear and consider appeals, challenges, variances and special exceptions from provisions of the Summit Township Zoning Ordinance. The Board consists of three members who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Applications to be heard by the Board must be submitted by the last Monday of the month preceding the intended Zoning Hearing Board meeting.
Meetings will be held on the fourth Monday of the month, as needed, at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Meeting Room (as needed).

The regularly scheduled meetings of the Summit Township Sewer Authority will be held at the Sewer Authority Building on the last Thursday of each month at 9:00 A.M.
