Summit Township
Mandatory Recycling Program
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection mandates Summit Township to provide a curbside recycling program for all residents. This program allows each residential household to have their recycling collected by the trash hauler of their choice. The township publishes an annual “Recycling Calendar” to help promote recycling and provide a complete reference for vital yearly information.

Glass Recycling
Summit Township has partnered with Bayfront Glass, LLC to provide glass recycling to Summit Township residents. Bins are placed next to the Township Garage at 8900 Old French Road. Please follow the instructions that are posted on the bins
Plastic Bag Recycling
The Summit Lions Club has placed bins at the Summit Township Municipal Building to collect plastic bags for recycling. For every 500 lbs. collected, the community will receive a bench for everyone to enjoy.

Bring in your worn American Flags and they will be retired by members of the Boy Scouts of America ceremoniously in a dignified and respectful manner.
