As part of its regular road maintenance program, Summit Township periodically generates excess soil and fill material that may be available to local property owners at no cost.

This material is typically produced during activities such as ditch maintenance, drainage improvements, shoulder restoration, and other roadway projects. When available, the Township may place suitable material on private property for land improvement or fill purposes.

Interested property owners must complete the Township’s Ditch Dirt Request Form and have a location that is accessible to Township trucks and equipment. Availability of material is not guaranteed and will depend on the Township’s maintenance schedule, project locations, and the quantity of material generated.
