UPDATE 6/23/23: The seal coat project has begun this morning, 6/23/2023
Hamot Road will be closed between New Road and Dunn Valley Road on June 26th and June 27th from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day for milling operations. Please use caution as there will be uneven pavement when the road is reopened. Paving will follow about a week later, weather permitting. During paving operations expect rolling lane closures. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work to keep our roadways some of the best in Erie County.
It’s that time of year again. The annual seal coating (Tar and Chip) will start at the end of June or early July and will last about one week, weather permitting. The roads to be seal coated are listed below. The seal coating program rejuvenates the roadway by adding fresh oils to the pavement and the aggregate acts as a new wearing surface protecting the underlying pavement and improving traction of the road.
