FAMILY FIRST ACADEMY CHILD CARE CENTER (FFA) .  .  .  has opened in a section of the former Golf Dome facility at 8199 Oliver Road.  The Director of Operations is Daunice M. Bunn, whom one only has to speak to a short time to understand the passion and drive behind the mission of FFA.  Child care at the center is so much more than solely a safe environment for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years.  Starting with the toddler group (13 months to 36 months) the certified teachers work with the children to develop social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.   By the time the children are ready to enroll in kindergarten they will have met all the criteria set forth by school districts.  School age children can attend FFA before or after school, whatever meets the individual family’s needs.  The Center offers care Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6PM; on a full time or part time basis.  To learn much more about how FFA can help your family, to enroll, or to see what is planned for ‘summer camps’ visit their website at www.eriechildcare.com

EUROPEAN WAX CENTER .  .  . will open in late February in the Erie Marketplace Plaza, 6660 Peach Street, behind Best Buy.  Founding philosophy of the European Wax Center is that everyone deserves beautiful, gorgeous skin that is not achieved by concealing oneself but by having the courage and confidence to reveal your natural skin.  Based on that principal, all first-time guests are treated to a complimentary wax that involves a four step process; cleanse, protect, wax and rejuvenate.   To learn more and/or make a reservation you can visit their website at www.waxcenter.com
